All About the Website
This website started as a tiny personal site that I created in my free time at Gateway Technical College in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, during the 1997 fall semester. Although the site wasn't always known as All-About-Tom.com, it has essentially always been the same site, and is now in its seventh design phase. The site is optimized for 1024x768 resolution and above, and is not dependent on any one browser. All content was created using Adobe and Sony software. However, if it weren't for my knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and design aesthetics, this would be just another roadkill on the information superhighway.

I was born in Milwaukee, grew up in East Troy, went through a nomadic summer at 22, and eventually came back to Milwaukee. In 2007, I graduated from ITT Technical Institute with an Associate's degree in Multimedia. I'm somewhat eccentric, old-fashioned, and a lover of Nature. I put a lot of my spare time into my original music and cover band projects. I don't take myself terribly seriously except in my work. I take the rest of the world very seriously, but only up to the point that the ridiculousness of it all finally becomes so overwhelming that I have to laugh.
Here are some random opinions, some of which may be mine:
- Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator is one of the greatest statements on the issue of world peace ever composed.
- Whole milk is superior to skim milk in all ways.
- Van Halen produced their best music with David Lee Roth orbiting around the microphone.
- Religion is the opiate of the masses.
- The paintings of Mark Rothko's signature period can only be truly appreciated by one whose mind is at peace and whose heart is on fire.
- Commercial radio is useless.
- A life lived without sin is a life half lived.
- There are few things in politics of which I am absolutely certain, but I do know that Liberals do not want to take your guns away.
- If one can appreciate the music of Richard Wagner without being distracted by his anti-semitism, then one can appreciate the music of U2 without being distracted by Bono's pompousness.
- When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
- Life is too short to waste it on making enemies of one's neighbors.
- A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.
