Sometime in 2000, I traded in three guitars to bankroll this one. I still recall that after the trade-in values were calculated, the remaining balance on the D30 was $666.66. Spooky.
I had been listening to a lot of Nick Drake and really wanted to get the real acoustic sound that The Omnicaster's Fishman Power Bridge will never be able to deliver. After researching Guild guitars for a while, I figured if this model is good enough for Ritchie Havens, it's good enough for me. I'm still thinking about getting a Nick Drake style parlor guitar…
